How much is the rebate?
Eligible LADWP residential customers may receive:
- Up to $1,000 for the purchase and installation of a qualified Level 2 (240V) charger
- Up to $250 for installation of a dedicated EV meter (optional)
- Additional $500 for income-qualified customers (Lifeline or EZ-SAVE participants)
Rebates are subject to LADWP approval and program availability.

You must:
Be an LADWP residential electric customer
Be the account holder
Install the charger at your primary residence within LADWP territory
How do I get the rebate?
- Purchase a qualified Level 2 EV charger
- Have it installed by a licensed electrician (permit required if applicable)
- Complete the LADWP rebate application
- Submit required documentation (proof of purchase, installation details, and LADWP forms)
- Receive your rebate directly from LADWP upon approval
Who submits the rebate application?
The homeowner submits the rebate directly to LADWP after installation.
You will typically need:
Proof of purchase
Installation documentation
Completed LADWP rebate application
Do I need to install a separate EV meter to qualify?
No.
A dedicated EV meter is not required to receive the Level 2 charger rebate.
However, LADWP also offers a separate rebate (up to $250) if you choose to install a dedicated EV Time-of-Use (TOU) meter for discounted charging rates.

I ordered the EV700 to charge my Tesla at home…so easy to install, since I already had a 240 v outlet set up. I’m pulling 7kW consistently from this device, and it is giving me about 29 miles of range per hour charging. I downloaded the EV700 APP too, and use it to turn on my charger after 9pm. I have my car set to charge to 90% so it turns off automatically. 5 stars
