The EV700 Level 2 Electric Vehicle smart charger is compliant with all North American UL standards. The EV700 is certified by TUV Rheinland. The TUV mark is proof of compliance with U.S. National standards. It demonstrates that an electrical product has been successfully tested and certified by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) accredited by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). 

The blue LED color means that your unit is in stand-by mode, waiting to begin charging. The green lights indicate that your car is receiving power, and that the unit is on and charging. The red lights indicate an emergency stop, which means that your unit is not charging your vehicle and needs servicing, or the user has stopped the charge manually.

Our EV700 specification complies with the Energy Star technical requirements but as of now, the EV700 is not yet energy start certified. Currently the EV700 is being testing by third-party Certification Body recognized by EPA for EVSE. We expect to obtain verification certification and the Energy Star within this calendar year. Please note that our EV700 is tested and certified by a nationally recognized testing laboratory (NRTL) TÜV Rheinland for compliance with the North American regulations and directives.

We do recommend having an electrician check out your electric panel before purchasing your EV700 to verify that you can install a 240-volt outlet within 15-16 feet of your parked vehicle to insure ease of installation. If you already have a 240-volt outlet, there is no need.

Some states require new construction homes and developments to include a certain percentage of EV-ready spots. Others require landlords to allow their tenants to install Level 2 chargers and 240-volt outlets at the expense of the tenant who is an EV driver. Please check with your landlord or their property management company for details and check local codes.

No, the EV700 does not. But we do offer compatibility with our EV700 app which can be download on both the App Store and Google Play Store to start, stop, and schedule charges.

We meet the qualifications for several utility demand response programs, and our team is diligently working to move from “pending” to officially listed. While becoming officially listed can take time, we expect to be approved for a few programs within this calendar year.

The outer casing of the EV700 is NEMA rated steel.

As of March 2022, we now offer a 3-year warranty with all purchases of our chargers, included with purchase. No additional fee or add-on is required.

Configuring the Wi-Fi network:

1. Open the TurnOnGreen EV700 App
2. Click on the “GO SEARCH” bouton
3. From the “Bluetooth Device List” select the top charger by clicking the “CONNECT” bouton
4. On the top left-hand side of the “Charging Operating Screen”, check for the Bluetooth icon next to the charger’s name
5. Click “Charger” on the bottom left side of the screen to select configuration options
6. Click “SETTING” on the “Current Connectable” charger
7. Select the “Current Wi-Fi” option
8. The Wi-Fi hotspot name should appear
9. Enterer the Wi-Fi Hot-Spot password
10. Go back twice. Check for the Wi-Fi icon next to the charger’s name on the “Charging Operating Screen”

IF THE WIFI FEATURE IS NOT WORKING OR LOSES CONNECTIVITY, THE EV700 CAN BE SCHEDULED TO TURN ON AT A DESIGNATED TIME WHEN CONNECTED TO BLUETOOTH. THE CHARGER, ONCE PROGRAMMED WILL ACTIVATE THE CHARGE EVEN AFTER YOU HAVE WALKED AWAY AND ARE NOT CONNECTED VIA BLUETOOTH.
