With growing EV adoption among healthcare workers and the community, the hospital recognized the need to modernize its infrastructure and offer on-site EV charging as part of its sustainability efforts and to enhance daily convenience.
Opportunities
Installing EV charging stations offered Desert Regional Medical Center the opportunity to support its employees with green commuting options, provide an amenity for visiting families and patients, and align with broader hospital sustainability initiatives. Economics
By taking advantage of the Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District (MDAQMD) Zero-Emission Grant Program, the hospital was able to offset equipment and installation costs. Challenges
