Project Site Overview
TurnOnGreen partnered with Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) to install and operate Level 2 EV charging infrastructure, integrating sustainable transportation solutions into district facilities. The initial project took place at the Marylin Ave Elementary School campus, strategically selected to maximize convenience for district employees and the local community.
Marylin Ave Elementary School is located in Livermore, California—a region with a growing number of electric vehicle owners and a supportive infrastructure ecosystem. The selected site provides optimal visibility and accessibility for both school personnel and local residents. The installation is located in a prominent area of the school parking lot, equipped with clear signage, ensuring efficient use and easy identification. As part of the district’s broader goal of reducing its environmental footprint, this site was identified as a pilot location with the potential to scale the program across additional campuses in the future.
The EV chargers are positioned in a manner that supports traffic flow and complies with accessibility and safety regulations. The deployment of weatherproof EVP1100 Level 2 chargers ensures year-round operation, even under extreme environmental conditions such as prolonged sun exposure and high summer temperatures. With visibility on public charging platforms like AFDC, Google Maps, and PlugShare, the site serves as a model for community-centered sustainable infrastructure.
